Spring break is here and summer is quickly approaching. Now is the time to dust off that old bathing suit or shop for a new one. This time of year often brings anxiety to many, fearful of exposing those love handles to the bright sunlight at the beach.

According to the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, laser skin resurfacing treatments are soaring while the economy sinks. Wrinkle proof and recession proof seem to go hand in hand.

"These laser procedures are looking to be recession proof," according to a statement from the academy. Over the past three years, there has been a significant increase in both males (456%) and females (215%) electing to have laser resurfacing, the academy points out.
